Why Massage?

Along with regular veterinary visits, massage is a proactive therapy that addresses future health issues and also helps with certain problems your pet may already have. Massage can be a helpful tool in maintaining the overall health and vigor of your pet.

Combining provided health information and our assessment, we tailor the session to fit your pets' needs.
  • Anxious, shy, reactive dogs benefit from the calming effects of massage on the nervous system, decreased blood pressure, tension relief, and boost to the immune system, which is unable to function effectively when the nervous system is chronically or excessively stressed.
  • Engaging puppies in positive touch as soon as possible is beneficial to help them learn trust, socialization, good manners, and body awareness.
  • Athletic dogs benefit from pre-event massage which helps prepare dogs mentally and physically for the event by increasing blood flow and oxygen to the tissue, which reduces the chance of injury. Post event massage comforts tired muscles and reduces the potential for cramping and post-exercise soreness/stiffness.
  • For dogs recovering from injury, massage reduces pain and speeds the healing process.
  • Palliative massage will focus on providing pain relief, stress relief and physical and emotional comfort for your pet.

Often dogs struggle to relax with their owner present. If you suspect this may be the case with your dog, it is also possible to drop your dog off at my residence in Fremont.
